Insurance Coverage

Advantage Hospice & Home Care accepts Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance as payment in full for hospice care. All professional services, medications, equipment, and supplies related to the care plan are covered 100%*.

In order to qualify for Medicare Hospice benefits:

  • The patient's physician initially certifies that the patient is terminally ill and has a life expectancy of six months or less. As long as the physician continues to recertify the patient at the beginning of each benefit period, hospice services will continue indefinitely.

  • The patient signs a statement indicating that he or she understands hospice and the nature of the illness

  • The patient receives care from a Medicare approved hospice program
